Once upon a time... The only thing standing between mice and your cheese... Was a cat and it's bloody claws!

Ultrascopia

UltraScopia is an association based in Geneva whose goal is to promote the creation and appreciation of video games and their culture. And what better way to do that than to make video games ourselves?

From Weekend Jams to small projects to ambitious creative enterprises, we aint't afraid of anything! Founded by two childhood friends that reunited after 20 years through their love of video games, UltraScopia emerged from PreposterousProductions in 2024.

Winning a grant from the City and Canton of Geneva shortly after, we're aiming to become an independent studio that produces the kind of games we'd like to play (and that hopefully you'd like to play too).

Melchior Zimmermann
the Dev

Melchior takes care of the code, the git and the exports. He got into programming after trying to become a rockstar in Amsterdam, having to earn some cash, and realizing that it was more fun making software than selling it.

Tinkering around with different languages and technologies, he went from creating text-rpgs in python to implementing graphics in SDL to writing his own engine in c++. Today he uses godot, focusing more of his time on game design and less on technical quirks and cross-compiling nightmares.

When he's not in front of a screen, he'll either be out in his garden, tending the trees, watering the vegetables, feeding the ducks and chopping wood for the winter, or doing one thing or another to improve his house for the years to come.

Roger G M
the Designer

With 10 years of design experience both digital and print, Roger has moved through projects like Gordon with a Portal-gun - from video-editing to art direction to medical communications and art-editorials, you name it he’s done it. Now he’s putting all that to use to bring stories to life in our games.

Character design, environments and UI are all tools used in the pursuit of storytelling. Whether we’re making a 30-second clicker or a 30-hour RPG, Roger’s visuals create immersive worlds filled with rich lore and personality.

When he’s not designing new universes, Roger is digging into mythology, sketching new ideas, exploring novel concepts, and chasing down that next spark of inspiration.
